On Thursday, November 7th at 7pm, Rachel Carson biographer William Souder will offer insights about this remarkable woman who is often regarded as one of the founders of the modern environmental movement. In his book, On a Farther Shore: The Life and Legacy of Rachel Carson, Souder shows how Carson?s work shaped the debate over pesticide use that ultimately led to the ban on DDT in the U.S. Souder will be available to read from the biography and speak about Carson?s legacy, followed by a book signing.
