The 4th annual Walking Lake Pepin heatlh and wellness walking challenge starts Sunday June 5th, 2011.  This years theme, "Active Living 2011" , was chosen to celebrate the benefits of an active lifestyle.  It was also chosen to highlight the wonderful environment that Lake City offers for "Active Living";  the Riverwalk, Hok-si- la Park, safe neighborhoods and sidewalks.  Anyone can sign on to the challenge.  It's FREE. Walkers are asked to make a committment when they sign up to walk 150 minutes a week for 10 weeks ending Saturday, August 13th.  Sign up locations are at Hope's Harvest  and Treats and Treasures on Washington Street or online at www.walkinglakepepin,com .  Prize drawing for those who meet their challenge at the finale event on Thursday August 18th.
